I love thinking big pushing boundaries and doing things differently. Most of all, I’m all about achieving massive growth with ease. And how do you scale your business by living the life you love? Let’s go growing and scaling a business is what I do best. I’m a business growth expert and I help my clients. People just like you grow their business, but without working more, do you know when you grow your business, you go through certain phases and stages.
You hit your first six figures and you hit maybe half a million. Then you get to 750,000 and eventually you hit that seven figure Mark. And then obviously multiple millions are waiting after that. But our we phase in every stage requires a different focus, different skills, and of course a different strategy. And I’m really good at helping my clients figure out which strategy works best for them. There are best practices, of course, but we also make sure that every strategy is really tailor made for our clients, including their industry, their niche, their skill set preferences, and so much more. So today I want to talk to you about five things that apply to almost every business. It’s a credo. It’s something you can really write down and live by to help your business grow much more quickly and much more easily. Also make sure you stay all the way until the end of this episode, because it has something really special for you.
The first thing you need to be really aware of is that you should be targeting only one target market. When I work with clients and scale Academy or powerhouse, our coaching programs for experienced business owners, we always start to look at your buyers. And when I see that you target a variety of buyers and you’re not sure who your ideal buyer actually is. That’s where we have to start because it’s going to be extremely difficult to get your business to seven figures. If you’re targeting a variety of different niches and that’s because every niche requires a different message, a different positioning and most likely different programs and services. So if you have more than one target market, you’re going to be working twice as hard mine. So it’s in your best interest to have one target market and one need, and the more specific and targeted you can be the better.
So take a look at your buyer swipe. Now, how many types of virus do you have? Why do you have so many? And if you already have one, then you’re good to go. The second item in our credo is that you should only be offering one main program and maybe one bridge or supporting program again, launching and then growing and scaling a program or service is really difficult. Mine. There are so many things you need to keep in mind. So why would you be working with a variety of poor worms and trying to get them all out there? You’ll be working twice, three or four times as hard as someone who has one signature offering one service they provide and they stick with it. So just as you shouldn’t be having one main buyer, one target market, which would only be offering one major type of service, maybe have a few supplementary services and things that can be added onto your main offer. But one main program is really important. So you can really focus in and take the right steps. The third item in our five step credo is one channel. Notice a trend here. Marketing can be a really challenging area for many business owners. You don’t really know what works. You don’t know how to track it. You have inconsistent prospect flow. You have inconsistent revenue. Your marketing is expensive. It’s time consuming and it’s not automated. Now, when it comes to marketing, I want you to pick one channel. So don’t focus on LinkedIn and blogging and podcasting and YouTube and advertising and networking and speaking, inviting a book and 50 other things, right? Because what happens is, again, you will be diluted. Your efforts will be spread so thin meat that you can’t do anything right?
In order for your business to hit a million dollars, you have to really double down. So pick one platform and one channel and one strategy, maybe it is a webinar based automated funnel that you’re implementing. And you’re feeding that funnel with Facebook ads, for example, or it could be anything else, but pick one specific strategy and one channel and then optimize it. It’s not so much about which strategy you’re using, but it’s about the optimization that is required for you to get your business, to grow without working more, without spending more money. Every little thing you do on your marketing will make a difference for you. Especially as you grow in scale, imagine spending $50,000 a month on advertising. You want to make sure that your flow and your system is optimized. Because if it’s not, you’ll be wasting major dollars. You’ll be wasting major a time and you will struggle to get to a million profit agree because you don’t just want to make a million dollars.
You want to keep the million dollars, right? You want us to get there profitably so that you’re not spending all of the money you’re making. And that’s why we’ll be doubling down on one main marketing channel is really critical. The next item you need to keep in mind in your scaling. Credo is one conversion tool. We just talked about picking one channel for your marketing, right? Once you have that one channel, you need to pick one conversion tool that is your sales process, by which your leads actually turn into clients. That could be a sales conversation. It could be a trial, it could be a demo. It could be anything that allows your clients to eventually buy from you. That conversion. When they go from being a prospect to actually becoming a client. And then again, you focus on one and you optimize it to make it better so that your close rate goes up so that your show up rate goes up so that your quality of lead goes up so that you just are able to sell much more easily, which is really important when your business is supposed to grow to, you know, seven figures and a million dollars per year.
So look at what your sales process and conversion tools are right now. If you have more than one, pick the best one and try to truly optimize it. And then the last item in my five step scale in credo is one year of focus. And why is that important? Because growing a business takes time. And for most businesses, it doesn’t even happen in one year. It takes longer. So when I’m really trying to see here is that you need to be resilient. You need to stick with it. You need to give yourself that time and space. It takes to grow your business because getting to a million is not simple. It can be done. And I know you can do it, but it takes your dedication and full commitment for at least a year or even more.
