How do you feel about public speaking? They say that most people are more afraid of public speaking than of dying. I hope that’s not how you feel 🙂 because speaking is a beautiful way to grow your business.

You do not need to become a professional speaker to use speaking to get more clients, boost brand awareness, and create a massive community. I’ve used speaking to build a community of wonderful, brilliant, experts around the world. Not only is speaking profitable (we have generated over $800,000 in one weekend), but it can also be super fun!

If you’re afraid of speaking in public, overcoming the anxiety about public speaking is achieved by focusing on why you are doing it, rather than what you have to do.

If you approach public speaking from a place of service and being helpful, you can better connect with your audience. What does your audience need? What does your audience want? You need to be able to deliver a reliable speech so that every time you deliver it, it is the same, but one you can adapt according to changing situations.

Businesses rely on marketing, and marketing yourself as a speaker will get you speeches, so you do tons of marketing over and over. Now you’re spending your time on marketing rather than being a speaker or a performer or a transformational leader.

You need to have what we call a “referable speech” so that every speech gets you new gigs and your speech is doing your marketing for you.
